Maintenance of property is one of the major strategic functions of the Corporation. In an effort to keep its housing stock in good condition and achieve customer satisfaction, every year there is a provision in the budget to carry out maintenance of houses across the country.
The Corporation undertakes three main types of maintenance activities and these include;
- Responsive Maintenance, which involves attending to day to day requests from its tenants.
- Planned Maintenance which is a comprehensive work on a house
- Rehabilitation/Renovation Works which involves total face lifting of a house from a state of dilapidation.
- According to the Tenancy Agreement, both the Corporation and the tenant have obligations on maintenance of the house. This ensures that the house is kept in a tenantable manner at all times.
